Located on Thompson Street just below West Houston, Thompson Chemists has been providing the Soho and South Greenwich Village community with hard to find products and real, caring service since 1994. Owners Gary and Jolie Alony bring together the perfect blend of utility and elegance which has caught the attention of national and international publications including Vogue, Elle and Time Out: New York.
Jolie, who speaks five languages, has helped give the store its European character, selecting only the highest quality skincare and cosmetic products from all over the world. Gary, a pharmacist by training, ensures that all customers get what they need to make them feel better, whether that means filing their prescription ASAP or recommending an appropriate over the counter remedy. In addition to the service the store provides directly, the Alony's are also committed to giving back to the community through local charity organizations.
We are a full service pharmacy and accept almost all prescription drug plans, including ADAP, Medicare Part D, and Medicaid. Other services include: wheelchair sales and rentals, breast pump sales and rentals, surgical supplies such as canes and crutches, and HIV, cancer, and travel medications.

Shipping:
Standard shipping is via Priority Mail and UPS Ground Service. Express Mail, UPS 2nd Day and Overnight is available at additional cost.
Hawaii, Alaska, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Guam and US Territories have standard delivery with Priority Mail. UPS is considerably higher for these areas. Priority Mail is required for all PO Boxes and APOs.
Faster delivery or for a definite delivery date is available to domestic customers for additional charge via FedEx and UPS 2nd, 3rd Day and Overnight services.
US Mail Express Service:
PO Box Customers who need expedited service overnight can use Express
Service in the continental US. Express mail has overnight delivery in
most US locations except Hawaii, Alaska, and US territories. EXRESS MAIL
(USPS) also offers Saturday and Sunday delivery in most areas of continental
US. Signature is required for Express Mail. Again these services are available
only for domestic continental US delivery only.
FedEx and UPS 2nd, 3rd day and overnight services.
Notice to UPS/FedEx Recipients:
If you have signed a waiver of signature with UPS or FedEx, then you are
responsible for the package once it is delivered to the address you specify.
S/H charges vary with destination country, amount of
order and type of service. We have attempted to have the shipping charges
for each international area we serve on the website but there may be some
locations that are not present. For those customers we will calculate
the methods available and the price and notify you via email the S/H charges.
Customs, Taxes, Duties, Handling Fees:
We cannot be responsible for any duties, taxes, handling fees or customs
fees levied by the recipient’s country. Any packages returned or
refused by the recipient will be charged for full shipping and handling
charges.
Return/Exchange Policy:
We want you to be happy with your shopping experience. We will gladly
exchange or allow return of certain items for refund (this excludes all
shipping charges) within 30 days of purchase with original receipt unless
noted specifically on the individual product page. We cannot accept returns
on any clearance items, instruments, or cosmetics. Candles that have been
used or containers less than 1/2 full will not be accepted.
Contact the office prior to any returns. All the item's packaging must
be returned. We reserve the right to charge a 20% restocking fee on all
returns.
Fraud Avoidance: We verify all credit card information
on overnight orders with the issuing bank as a service to customers to
avoid fraudulent orders. FL residents add 7% Sales Tax
Credit Card "Hold”:
Credit Card “Hold”: Initially your credit card will show a
“charge” that is higher then the actual sale amount. This
is a temporary “hold” done by the credit card processing company
against your available credit. The amount is made temporarily higher to
ensure that funds are available so the transaction will go through. The
amount is made higher so if minor adjustments have to be made such as
revised shipping changes, they can be done without resubmitting the charge
to the credit card issuers a second time. At time of shipment the transaction
is completed and the actual sale amount is charged against your credit
card.
You are never charged more than the sale amount unless
items are added, removed or shipping charges adjusted and only with your
approval.
For your protection we recommend you never use a debit
card for any online, mailorder, or telephone purchases. Please use only
credit cards, which limit your liability.
We accept Visa, MC, Amex, and Discover. We gladly accept
personal checks and ship upon receipt and validation.
